The Phoenix Stores and singer and fashion mogul Rihanna are bringing to Bermuda her beauty brands, Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Fenty Eau De Parfum, as she launches across Caribbean islands.

Up for grabs is a free visit to Rihanna’s island home of Barbados next month.

The Phoenix Stores has been awarded the exclusive Bermuda rights to carry the iconic lines at its 59 Front Street location.

A Phoenix Stores spokeswoman said: “Our team put in the work to craft a proposal to secure our spot as Bermuda’s go-to retail destination for the hottest beauty trends.”

She said in the coming weeks, there would be “a series of can't-miss events as we launch these game-changing products”.

She added: “Think sip-n-shops, in-store masterclasses and expert shade-matching consultations to help you find your perfect Fenty fit.

“We’ll also be tapping into the local beauty scene, inviting Bermuda’s top make-up artists and influencers to share their Fenty looks for a chance to be featured on our social platforms.

“That’s not all — with every purchase, you’ll be entered into exciting prize draws, and one lucky customer will win the ultimate Golden Ticket experience: an all-expense-paid trip to Barbados in early November for Rihanna’s official Caribbean launch.”

Rihanna’s beauty brands won widespread favour because she broke the mould of the cosmetics industry by providing products of appeal to women of all skin tones - not just perpetuating the Eurocentric standard - and led the trend to provide products to women of different backgrounds.

Buyers will be able to shop the award-winning shade range, universal skin care products and the unique fragrance that has proliferated Rihanna’s mission of “Beauty for All” and the boundary-breaking standard of beauty she introduced with the brand’s debut in 2017.

“BadGalRiRi” is also releasing the line in Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Sint Maarten, Saint Martin and Trinidad & Tobago.

Rihanna is the richest female musician in the world. Forbes said in 2021 that her net worth was an estimated $1.7 billion, about four years after the 2017 launch of her successful line, Fenty Beauty.

It was not her music but her business career that substantially helped her become a billionaire.

Still, Guinness World Records said she was the bestselling female recording artist of the 21st century.

She also had success as an actress with major roles in several films.

CBS News has reported that she not only owns 50 per cent of Fenty Beauty, which is named after her given name, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, but she also has a stake in lingerie brand Savage X Fenty.

The nine-times Grammy winner has 14 No 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, including We Found Love, Work, Umbrella and Disturbia.

She famously “brought the house down” at the 2023 Super Bowl half-time show, while visibly pregnant.

With her stake in the cosmetics company valued at $1.4 billion and her stake in the lingerie company worth an estimated $270 million, Rihanna is now the second wealthiest female entertainer, after Oprah, according to Forbes.

The 36-year-old Barbadian-born pop star has eight hit albums, and, as an influencer has more than 108 million followers as BadGalRiRi, often using the platform to advertise her brands to the masses.

Her make-up line is revered for its range of colours and offers foundations in a wide variety of skin tones.

The parent to Louis Vuitton, French luxury goods giant LVMH, owns the other 50 per cent of Fenty Beauty.

The brand got off to a roaring start in 2017 and brought in more than $550 million in its first year, according to Forbes.

Rihanna's other brand, Savage X Fenty raised $115 million in funding at a $1 billion valuation, Forbes reported in 2021. TechStyle Fashion Group is part-owner and Forbes estimates Rihanna owns 30 per cent of the company.
