Young Bermudians asked to attend meeting on youth unemployment
Younger Bermudians have been encouraged to show up for a public meeting tonight on the Government’s youth employment strategy.
Jason Hayward, the economy and labour minister, will attend the community engagement event from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The forum will be held at the St Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church centennial hall on Court Street in Hamilton.
The minister will be joined by Malika Cartwright, the director of the Department of Workforce Development, and Erica Smith, director of the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation Executive.
Members of the public, particularly those from age 18 to 26 years, are encouraged to attend.
The meeting will give attendees a chance to ask questions as well as hearing details on plans for youth employment.
