Government pay-advice glitch leaves some without receipts
Updated: Mar 09, 2024 10:05 AM
A “technical anomaly” has left some government employees and pensioners without receipts for monthly payments.
The Department of Employee and Organisational Development said that although monthly payees had received up-to-date payments, a technical issue had resulted in some individuals not receiving corresponding payment receipts.
A spokeswoman added: “A potential resolution is in place, which requires the Government of Bermuda to conduct a test.
“This test could result in persons receiving a duplicate pay advice for February, while others may receive it for the first time.
“The department extends apologies to those affected and thanks them for their patience and understanding as the Government seeks to resolve this matter.”
