Cousins promoted at Chancery Legal

Two Bermudian attorneys, who happen to be cousins, have been promoted at Chancery Legal Ltd.

Tanisha Butler is now director of litigation, responsible for directing the strategy of all litigation matters within the firm, while Aqueelah Simmons is senior legal counsel.

Chancery Legal described Ms Butler as a mentor and said she has made significant contributions to her company by advising on complex legal matters.

Chancery Legal said Ms Simmons is an invaluable member of their legal team, who has demonstrated exceptional legal expertise and a deep commitment to client satisfaction.

She is also responsible for managing the company website and public relations communications on behalf of the law firm.

The duo were both Called to the Bar in November 2021. They share a passion for advocating for legal practice and for obtaining the best result on behalf of their clients. They practice in a range of areas including civil and criminal litigation, family and matrimonial law, employment law, mortgage defence, wills and estates.
