February 20, 2011Dear Sir,Wow, the elephant has laboured and brought forth a mouse. The Government budget continues to parrot the old familiar line. Debt is not a problem: there is a temporary fall in tourism but it is winter; new hotels will start construction in a few months and everywhere will be booked to capacity; international companies will continue to expand and hire. The message is everything will be fine and our present minor difficulties will be reversed under our wise leadership. It is just a matter of time before our trivial debts will be repaid, there will be more jobs for everyone, ten percent pay increases will again be the norm, sales will grow, free medical care will be made available to all, tourists will return like the swallows to Capistrano, and everything will be hunky-dory.
