May 3, 2011Dear Sir,Sir Henry Tucker, Dr EF Gordon and Roosevelt Brown are three heroes from the community that we will be honouring at midday at City Hall on Saturday May 14, 2011.Although we are not representing the PLP Government, Mr Editor, we are inviting you to hear stories of these great men being told to our children at the steps of City Hall. There will be speeches, children’s recitals and local music. The youth will see that Bermuda Heroes are great men of international stature drawn from different races and status in Bermuda society.The Bermuda Young Progressives have always looked for ways to bring various segments of Bermuda society together. We present venues where we can enjoy each other’s company in a moment of peace and tranquility.It was in that spirit we have launched the Heritage series of events with the National Hero’s Convention and later in the summer the National Heroes Peace and Love Picnic for Children at Shelly Bay on June 24, 2011.We hope you can come along Mr Editor, you and your readers.GERSHWYN SMITH (Shiloh)Bermuda Young Progressives
