Inadequate transport

This was sent to Premier Paula Cox and copied to The Royal Gazette.May 2, 2011Madame Premier, Ms Cox,Here we go, “the same ole 2 and 6”. The services provided by Public Transport, i.e. the ferries and buses are once again inadequate. It had been just last week when all these same subjects were bought to the forefront, yet still nothing has been done to rectify or alter the embarrassing situation from continuing … This is ridiculous! Don’t you (Mr Lister) know that next week the ships will come again, and more than likely also have a large number of tourists on-board who when disembarked do want most of all to get cracking by doing the things that all visitors love to do? Then if you know the problems, please fix them. Hire more drivers for additional buses that will be stationed in Dockyard specifically for the passengers when they come ashore to go and venture about the Island. One doesn’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out, it is a matter of “supply and demand”RAYMOND RAYSt. George’s
