No right to protest

June 18, 2011Dear Sir,Premier Cox chooses to overlook one basic fact re politics politics can be likened to a team sport. When the team knowingly includes a contestant known to try to win by any means and if that team member gets called for an infraction of the rules and if the infraction is proved, the entire team is either disqualified from the competition or some other major penalty is applied. Feigning ignorance or lack of culpability simply doesn’t wash. With the exception of Dale Butler and El James, Premier Cox and the rest of the PLP MP’s and Senators hid under the counter throughout Dr. Brown era. They benefited from his disgraceful campaign in the last election. The same holds true for the entire PLP membership none of whom seems to realise that it is their duty to hold their government accountable. Most of what ails Bermuda today goes directly to the PLP government’s mismanagement of Bermuda and her economy. So, no one in the PLP government has the right to get upset when an elected MP, John Barritt, calls it like it is.KATH BELLPaget
