Post code blues

July 14, 2011Dear Sir,My mother has lived in the same house in Smith?s parish for almost 60 years. At 92 years of age she enjoys receiving mail from family and friends scattered around the world.I recently sent her some photos of her granddaughter?s wedding in Atlanta, Georgia. I made a dreadful error in that I neglected to add the four-digit postal code to the envelope. I did include her name, house name, street name and number, name of development, name of parish, and of course name of country. A six-line address. The envelope was returned to me stamped in red ink: ?Missing? ... ?Postal Code?.My daughter has lived in New York City for two years. If I send a letter to her address it contains only three lines and, miracle of miracles, she receives it.Is Bermuda now so large that my mother could not be found by it?s postal system for lack of a four-letter code?HETTA MALONEWalnut Creek, California
