August 11, 2011Dear SirWe have some guests with us for two weeks. They were in town yesterday and decided to take a ferry back to the house which they hadn’t done before. We live near Salt Kettle so they asked a lady in the ferry office when the next Salt Kettle ferry left. She told them she didn’t know about Salt Kettle ferries. Bemused, they walked out then saw the board with the timetables and found that there was indeed a ferry to Salt Kettle. One of them went back inside and said that there did, in fact, appear to be a ferry to Salt Kettle. Her response was ‘Oh, I only do the fast ferries’. Our guests were more amused than annoyed — they said the lady was actually very nice. It has, however given us another cracking story about the level of customer service in Bermuda.NEIL MCCONACHIEPaget
