Fight discrimination
How do you fight PTB?December 24, 2011Dear Sir,In reference to the frustrated Sandys parent, I feel for you but not every bus driver is going to go along with your complaint and feel that something should be done about that as some are irritable day-to-day. Yes, you do have the cool ones (Mr Johnson, Mr Tuzo, Mr Dill, my acegirl Taneka and a few others) but you do have some who are downright ridiculous when it comes to public transportation and don’t think what they’re doing is wrong. You have some ‘butch’ drivers who tell off people like they were related to that person and it seems “cool” to them.So in regards your son, I totally agree with you but what can you do? How do you fight PTB and still win when chances are Chris Fubert will have their backs? Report the matter to the head (PTB manager) and, if still nothing gets done, report the matter to the BIU. Now, I cannot guarantee you’ll receive an answer but make your case known and I’m guessing somebody will answer but be warned, some members of the BIU are PTB operators/bus drivers so you need a strong case to back you up.Regarding school students though, many operators are probably fed up with the filth that comes out of the mouths of many who catch the bus. Every other word has to be derogatory word and, the drivers are fed up (maybe they feel your son is part of that crew, who knows?). However, it is weird that they’ll allow other Sandys Middle School (why is this school still calling itself a secondary school, when it is a middle school?) students to ride the West End bus and not your’s. That’s discrimination and you should definitely fight that.CAN’T FIGHT YOUR BATTLEDevonshire
