July 11, 2012Dear Sir,Recently the Government has called on the Opposition to apologise.May I ask the Government for an apology for the following:4 Putting many independent truckers out of business4 Promising St Georgians a hotel will be built4 Introducing a healthcare system where one person pays more than another for the same benefit4 Wastage of millions of dollars on cost overruns on Government capital projects4 Not paying overtime to some of the lowest paid government workers4 Giving an SDO which resulted in the building of the most unattractive and unneeded building project4 Reducing the pensions of future retirees4 Allowing crime to escalate to levels never seen before4 Creating policies which have resulted in thousands of Bermudians to now be unemployed4 Saddling future generations with a massive debtSir, I don’t expect an apology is forthcoming, I have been called a dreamer.HOPING FOR CHANGESmith’s
