It’s a simple choice
October 22, 2012Dear Sir,Political polls taken in Bermuda puzzle me. The Progressive Labour Party’s popularity is up …. or down. One Bermuda Alliance’s numbers are now up …. or down.Who are these people that can’t make up their minds? Why do they so easily change their mind from one week or speech or promise to another?Don’t we realise that our future has nothing to do with all the rhetoric, promises, lies or half truths that will pollute our lives from now until the day to vote? All that hot air will not matter because the choice before us is so very simple. Our vote should be chiselled in stone by now, for if we are still sitting on the fence, then excuse me for being so blunt, but we must be out of our minds. Our choice for the party to lead this little Island through troubled waters and trying times is simple and will not change by listening to more words; nothing is going to change between today and the ballot day except the height of the manure. The choice is simple: 1. A guarantee of more of the same mismanagement and hidden secrets — or 2. To put our future and the future of our children in the hands of the OBA, where we have at least a 50 percent chance of a brighter future.MARK EMMERSONPembroke
