‘Details must be clear’October 29, 2012Dear Sir,Here’s the scenario that we are confronted with whenever it comes to politics.It doesn’t matter what the PLP have done or claim to have done. We know what the PLP can do, but more importantly, we all know what they cannot do. We know the PLP has an agenda that does not rise above revenge and payback. After 14 years it is evident that the promises made today, and the scanty news worthy bits of success that they manage to funnel through the media, is just desperation, and comes far too late.Now, what we need to know is what the OBA can do. We the people of Bermuda and beyond our shores are only interested in the future. The OBA must focus on getting through to all of us, local and foreign, with their plan and what they will do, and how. Yes; the PLP and staunch supporters will retaliate and knock down everything the OBA plans.That is expected of a party that wants to get back in, and it is common for the opposition to react defensively. We may only have weeks before this election, and quite frankly I do believe the OBA has a far greater ability for the success of Bermuda, but the details must be clear. With that I say good luck to the OBA, and God help us if we have to endure another day of PLP rule.SYDNEYPaget
