A note of thanks
November 6, 2012Dear Sir,Special thanks and kudos to the staff of Cooper Ward, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. On Wednesday, October 24, I had the misfortune of a motorcycle collision which landed me in the Emergency Room of the hospital. First let me take this opportunity to thank Divisional Officer Dana Lovell and the Hamilton Fire Services EMT’s who arrived on the scene within minutes, followed by the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s EMT’s, Raymond Tucker and Dwayne Minors. All attended to my immediate needs and transported me safely to the Emergency Room. Following an eight hour experience in the ER, inclusive of X-Ray, CAT scan and other vital and necessary treatment, I was admitted to Cooper Ward where I spent six days. This missive comes first and foremost as a commendation to the entire staff of Cooper Ward. The care was exemplary, second to none. Their professionalism, coupled with their compassion helped to make and otherwise painful experience a pleasant one. To the attending physician Dr Steven Dore, the nurses Melanie Boucher, Yvette Greene, Shanay Scott-Mohammed, Vinisha Saltus, Mary Joy Cruz, Dawn Brown, Felicia Gregory Flynch, Eric Pefianco, Angelita Castillo, the many nurses’ aides and other attendants. A special commendation to Nurses Dawn and Yvette who went above and beyond the call of duty. My wife Donna’Lee and I, want you to know that you were ALL super and we appreciate every one of you very much for your tender love and care.LARRY E SMITHPaget
