Let he that is without sin ...
November 1, 2012Dear Sir,Regarding Pat Ferguson’s letter to the Editor on Saturday, October 20, it is people like her who do not believe in forgiveness. “Yes”, we have people that have been convicted or incarcerated as Honourable Parliament Members and also lawyers. Fortunately these are the few that have been given a chance to prove that they are people too and that people do make mistakes while they are young. People like you think that persons that get caught are the only ones doing bad things. Think about the ones that Bermuda will never know did anything wrong because of their family ties to this society. When people like you can finally say “If God forgives people of their sin and ask that they be forgiven” maybe our young people can truly feel a sense that people do care and may help others to turn their lives around. Stop looking down on all convicted persons (I don’t mean murderers or intended murderers) and let us all try to help them to stand up and stay up. I applaud the employees that employ these young people and give them opportunity . Life is not easy for many of them. Remember Judgment Day. “Let he that is without sin cast the first stone.”MOTHER OF MANY SONSPembroke
