November 15, 2012Dear Sir,It would be almost laughable were it not so pathetic that on occasion the Progressive Labour Party spin doctors have tried to draw some parallels between their Government and US President Barack Obama. Here are a few factual distinctions:1) Obama is pro-business; the Government drove International Business away.2) Obama inherited an economic mess, the Government created one.3) Obama has a healthcare plan for all; the Government has the elderly making choices between food and medication.4) Obama has a plan to take guns off the street and decrease crime, Bermuda under this Government has seen gun crime become part of our daily lives.5) Obama has pushed for Government spending cuts and being fiscally responsible, the Government has squandered millions and is now borrowing to pay interest on the borrowed money!6) Obama only had four years to try and get things right, this Government has had 14!7) Obama was about change, this Government doesn’t want change, it wants only to keep power.We could all learn from Mr Obama’s example … but this Government lives in its own world, separate from the people, unaccountable to anyone but itself.
