December13, 2012Dear Sir,On behalf of Girlguiding Bermuda, the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section and our Young Leaders, I would like to publicly thank the people of Bermuda who so generously supported our Fun(d) Fair and Raffle held on November 3.A special thank you! to our Association president, Mrs Margaret Fergusson, who so graciously opened the Fair; the merchants, hotels, restaurants and individuals who so willingly gave of their time, support and generous prizes, thank you! We are also most appreciative for the assistance given by the electronic and print media in helping us to advertise the event.Our goal was reached due to the dedication of our Leaders, Council Members, Parents, the girls and Friends of Guiding who willingly volunteered their time to bake, sew, knit, sell raffles, set up and tend stalls and assisted in numerous other ways.Your generosity enabled us to raise approximately $25,000 which will be used for unit support, trainings for the girls and leaders, new equipment and ongoing upkeep of our Headquarters, the Lady Asser Hut.Again, thank you people of Bermuda for your support of Girlguiding Bermuda!SHIRLENE DARRELLIsland CommissionerGirlguiding Bermuda
