We wanted someone stronger

December 18, 2012Dear Sir,The Progressive Labour Party would’ve won if either Wayne Perinchief or Michael Weeks had been Premier. Why is that? Wayne Perinchief was right about the crime issue although he probably wouldn’t have been able to diminish it. Michael Weeks was on top of dealing with the environment on a number of levels. People literally got tired of seeing loved ones being made redundant. They felt Paula Cox was weak and someone stronger was needed, someone who had backbone to deal with today’s problems:1. Crime Issue: Although no party has been able to decrease this in anyway, people felt Paula Cox wasn’t doing much to help.2. National Stadium: No party has focused on this.3. Education: Both parties sucked in this area! We should have left Devonshire Academy and Warwick Secondary alone. We should have made Clearwater a secondary school and not removed discipline from any school. Bermuda Tech should not have been torn down.4. Race Issue: It’ll always been about race. Time will tell where this will pan out to. Why be racist when the majority of the Island is black? Why hate black people? Why should black hate black?NON-VOTERDevonshire
