February 12, 2013Dear Sir,This poem was written by a teenaged Bermudian studying overseas.Vibrant colours I have seen,Turquoise blue and palm leaf green.Vibrant people I did know,Through the people does beauty flow.When nature fades away,Only then will people say,Vibrant colours I have seen,Turquoise blue and palm leaf green.Even though our demise is slow,In our people’s mind it does show,And as our Island does decay,Only to change the minds we can pray.Grey colours I have seen,A brighter future we must dream.To not see each other as the foe,To be all fiends, I know you know.For then if we pave natures way,Then us the people will decay.RSLG
