March 14, 2013Dear Sir,There is little doubt that when the One Bermuda Alliance finally get around to addressing our bloated over staffed, over paid, under worked Civil Service, quango and blue collar workers with reduced hours and pay that all the unions will go on strike. I say let them, but don’t pay them one cent while they are away from their workplaces. Stop their very generous benefits while they are on strike. No pay, no health insurance, nothing. Perhaps then they might start to get an inkling of what the rest of us have been enduring for the last four years. We could save a small fortune if they went on strike for a month and apart from a few key services that we could get the Regiment to cover, would we really notice any difference?
