Our Island love affair continues
December 18, 2013
Dear Sir,
My family and I have just returned from a weeklong stay in Bermuda.
Our annual holiday visit is a cherished family tradition that we began decades ago when our children were young, one that has grown over the years to include grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Once again, the island did not disappoint. The holiday cheer on display at every turn, the legendary Bermuda hospitality, and the natural beauty all around was, as always, a wonderful, relaxing prelude to the hectic holiday season.
For 36 years, we have stayed at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort in Bailey’s Bay. In that time, it has truly been our “home away from home.” From the time long ago when staff would allow my young daughters to decorate the lobby Christmas tree, to today when the needs of our large group are always anticipated and met, the Grotto Bay provides us with the highest quality customer service and care. In particular, June Ann Furbert, Guest Services Manager, and Clyde Darrell, Resident Manager, do all they can to provide a superlative experience, going above and beyond each day to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of their guests.
This year, we were delighted to join the Grotto Bay in their 40th anniversary celebration. The property looked its very best and the staff could not have done more to welcome us, to make our stay the best it could be, and to once again provide us with a memorable experience. After so many years, we truly feel like a part of the Grotto Bay family.
While the island has changed and grown over the years, it remains one of our favourite travel destinations. We greatly look forward to many more visits to Bermuda, and to once again celebrating the holidays on the island in 2014. Our family love affair with Bermuda continues ...
Sincerely,
Richard W. Dixon, CTC
