About time ministers started pulling their weight
25 February 2014
Dear Sir,
I am beginning to wonder what model the OBA has chosen to manage Bermuda, for some of the current ministers, including the Premier, are not shining examples of how to manage.
I find myself wondering why we even have some of the current ministers as some of them are, by and large, invisible to us.
For instance, it seems I see more media coverage from actions taken by the Shadow Works and Engineering Minister than I do from the actual Works and Engineering Minister.
When I have seen the actual W&E Minister in the television media, I see him reading, seemingly without any passion, from a press release.
Why bother?
I wonder if the actual W&E Minister is even aware that, on a rainy morning, the lollipop men at the long term Marsh Folly road fiasco do not turn up for work. On second thought, maybe he isn’t even aware of the Marsh Folly road fiasco, as all that has happened since the OBA took office is that the situation there has become much worse.
I am becoming increasingly concerned by the lack of interest shown by some of the current ministers, and by the misinformation and lack of information from other ministers. We are government’s employers, we pay their wages, and it is time our employees delivered trustworthy information on a timely basis.
If not, then they should do the honourable thing.
