Feeling very special

The dream team: Premier Michael Dunkley and the Dream Girls Club in celebratory mood. Earlier this month, Dunkley and the Progressive Labour Party joined leaders across the globe in marking International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day has been celebrated on March 8 since the early 1900s and recognises the achievements of women past, present and future

Dear Sir,

I was one of the 12 women featured in the March 9, 2015 article for International Women’s Day — Bermuda salutes our women in shipping.

I would like to publicly thank Ms Jane Brett, Project Coordinator of the Bermuda Government, Department of Human Affairs, and her team for turning this into such a special occasion with follow-up cocktail party, flowers and a framed copy of the article.

I have been left feeling pretty special!

I would also like to thank and give a shout out to The Bermuda Fudge Company for their beautiful presentation box of assorted fudge together with their lovely handwritten note recognising women in shipping, as a woman owned and operated the Bermudian business in Dockyard. Thank you.

I would also say to anyone reading this if you have not yet tasted the Bermuda Fudge Company’s fudge, you need to run (not walk) to Dockyard and get some! It is beyond heavenly!

Thank you again to all.
