Dear Sir,

I imagine that the attempt to stop persons from marking the sidewalks to claim a spot for the May 24 parade was to avoid having all that tape left strewn throughout the city streets.

Change takes time but I would like to ask those persons who did put tape down to please go and take it up.

In future years then, perhaps we could get agreement — stake your spot but simply remove the tape when you have set up your site or at least by the end of the day.
