Dear Sir,

I just wish to comment on the passing of Colin Benbow.

Mr Benbow taught me history at Warwick Academy, and a finer history teacher you could not find.

He had the knack of making some of the most boring historical figures come alive.

He instilled in me a love of history that I still have today, although I certainly wasn’t a star pupil.

He obviously was a man who loved his subject, I only wish some of my other teachers had felt the same.

My condolences to his family.
