More research needed on the Uighurs
Dear Sir,
After reading the Khalid Wasi article about the Uighur heist by “the good doctor”, Ewart Brown, how can he write this article without mentioning him?
He should know that in politics, one has to take “something to the table, to get something”. I wonder what it was that Dr Brown sought.
Second, Khalid, you should do a short course in American history. The flag you mentioned, The Star-Spangled Banner, was flying over Fort McHenry in Baltimore Harbour after surviving a siege by the British Navy.
Yes, I feel sorry for the Uighurs; they were used as chips in a rather nasty political game that no one in Bermuda knew anything about, other than the United States Government and Dr Brown.
So let’s not kid ourselves. Also read up the history of the Gunpowder Heist. I have never read that a slave was involved, either.
