Progress on road safety but more needed

Dear Sir,
What wonderful news this evening that the number of road incidents (they are not accidents!) in the first six months of this year have dropped from some 600 to just over 400.
That is still about two every day — not a very good record in my book. It will be wonderful news when it drops to one a month.
