Do what is right for the majority

Dear Sir,
Private and public sector workers are paying for past failings. The expense of the civil service is a challenge and many are concerned for their future. What is better, accepting a furlough day, unemployment or pay cuts?
Our leaders must do what is right for the majority, not what is right for themselves.
