Inform visitors about Dockyard sketch
Dear Sir,
Often our visitors are looking for something more to do in “Her Majesty’s Royal Naval Dockyard”.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone when speaking to our visitors about Dockyard, especially those in hospitality industry, to inform them of the short three-character sketch in the Victualling Yard set in 1863 called Harriet’s Birthday.
The sketch is only 15 minutes long and gives a good historical, factual account of the Dockyard. It is followed by a 20-minute walking tour of the Dockyard, which reinforces what the audience has picked up from the sketch. Both the sketch and walking tour are free, being sponsored by the Bermuda Tourism Authority through the West End Development Corporation.
The sketch starts promptly at 9.30am Tuesday to Friday inclusive each week and runs until October.
Yours sincerely,
JOHN DALE
