Canvas a dream come true
Dear Sir,
It was a hot and beautiful day; a day of thanks and humility. To witness a cross-section of the community in complete creative harmony, painting the longest canvas ever produced in Bermuda brought tears of joy to my eyes.
A dream come true.
Thank you David Burt, Lieutenant-Colonel David Burch and the Department of Parks for allowing us access to use the space. Thank you to our incredible sponsors, Markel, Lancashire, Butterfield & Vallis and to the Bermudiana Foundation of Canada and the Customs department for allowing this vision to come to fruition. And to Barritt’s, for keeping us all quenched throughout the hot day.
Thank you all participants and organisations for the teams that you brought with you to paint. Thank you Masterworks team and volunteers for a brilliant display of organisation and for keeping a vigilant eye on the safety and health requirements.
We ran out of time but we will not run out of this wonderfully happy memory, soon to be on display at the Masterworks Museum.
