Dear Sir,
The following is a letter addressed to Lieutenant-Colonel David Burch, the Minister of Public Works, in objection to the proposed renaming of Corkscrew Hill.

Thank you for allowing me to register my objection to the proposed change of name of Corkscrew Hill to Flora Duffy Hill.
I believe “Corkscrew” has unique and historic/landmark significance and, without taking anything away from Ms Duffy’s Olympic gold, I think the parade/motorcade, stadium section renaming for her, Bermuda Post Office stamp recognition, open-air tribute concert and the commissioning of a statue to honour her accomplishment and representation of Bermuda on the world stage should suffice to reflect our feelings of pride and gratitude.
