Winning friends: Curtis Dickinson (File photograph by Akil Simmons)

Dear Sir,

I am not a political animal and I have no part in Bermudian politics. However, I do recognise a good man when I meet one and Curtis Dickinson is one such man.

I am delighted to learn that Curtis has thrown his hat into the ring to run for premier and to continue his service to the people of Bermuda in this manner. The world has plenty of turmoil right now and strong, principled leadership is required.

The people of Bermuda can rejoice in that such a man has made himself available to lead his country and to work, unselfishly, to solve the many challenges that face his fellow citizens.

I pray that the delegates within the Progressive Labour Party will exercise their votes with wisdom and thus enable Curtis Dickinson to lead Bermuda forward into a prosperous and peaceful future for all of us who love and care about this blessed island.
