Signs of negative change
Dear Sir,
Our first visit to Bermuda was in 1993 or 1994. We love the island and have just returned from eight days there.
The new airport is gorgeous, and you do not have to walk across the tarmac in the rain.
We always get a bus pass. We have found the buses are reliable and seem to be right on schedule. We do not get hotel meal plans, as we try to eat in different places during our stay. The shops are great, the beaches are just top-notch and there are friendly people all over the island.
However, in the past few visits, we have noticed more trash all over. The past few visits we did not see one policeman walking around. Overgrown branches hit the bus. Stores was closed.
We’re trying not to nitpick, but we see changes. We will return next year, but I wonder if this trend will continue. A shame if it does.
