Brazen dumping on the Railway Trail
Dear Sir,
While on our walk along the Railway Trail in Paget this morning (June 30, 2024), we were passing the section of Moongate Lane, which runs alongside the trail.
There was a gentleman with a wheelbarrow on Moongate Lane dropping a couple of bits of wood over the fence on to the trail. After a few yards I thought, “I hope he’s not dumping the wood there” — and carried on.
On our return half an hour or so later, this is the mess we saw. Apparently, this individual thinks it is entirely appropriate to get rid of his construction debris by dumping it on the Railway Trail for someone else to clear up.
This seems to be common practice for residents along the trail to dispose of their unwanted items by chucking them in the bushes. This, however, is the first time we’ve seen such brazen disregard by doing it in broad daylight.
I hope this individual can be shamed by family members or workmates into clearing this up.
