NSC in disgraceful condition
Dear Sir,
Last evening I had occasion to be at the National Sports Centre and was appalled at the conditions I observed, including:
• Extensive heavy electrical cables along the ground and over railings
• Trees being allowed to grow on and in concrete surfaces and through air grates undoubtedly causing structural damage the longer they are left
• Metal rods and bars, and wire spools seemingly from the solar panel project left for visitors to trip on
• Broken and unrepaired asphalt and concrete blocks in the parking area
• An uncovered bore hole waiting for a small child to fall into.
Our NSC has turned into a national disgrace. This represents an unforgivable failure by the NSC trustees and the Government to perform basic maintenance and preserve public assets and provide for public safety. Both parties should be ashamed and need to do much better.
I invite you to view some of the attached photos I took, documenting these conditions.
