Election mandate? Yes … Caricom mandate? No

Dear Sir,
This is for the attention of the Premier of Bermuda. You have the majority of seats in the House of Assembly, but you managed to have the support of only about 27 per cent of registered voters.
So, before you go running off and committing Bermuda to Caricom, maybe the time has come when a referendum should be held to decide such actions rather than rely on 25 elected members.
You may have the most seats, but you did not have the most votes.
