Auction De Mitra closed down by court order

In a sign of the times, a second-hand furniture company saw its entire inventory carted away by court order. Even the small business’s truck was towed away.No mercy was shown to Auction De Mitra, seller of Persian rugs, Bermuda cedar, antique and other furniture.The Provost Marshal General ordered members of the public out of the Reid Street business as they loaded up the company’s goods this week.Owner Mitra Johnston declined to comment.She suffered a major blow to business back in July 2009 when she lost $300,000 worth of goods after her previous store was burned down in an arson attack. She did not have insurance cover and her health suffered.
