Neptune Group Management Ltd yesterday announced the promotion of Gerald Swan to customer service manager.

Mr Swan has been in the shipping business for nearly 30 years, previously having worked for Globe Forwarding, Container Ship Management Ltd and the Bermuda Regiment.

A statement from Neptune added: “He is well known and respected by Bermuda importers and the Bermuda shipping community.”

The Neptune group of companies includes Bermuda Container Line, Sargasso Sea Inc and Bermuda Agencies Ltd. NGL is 50 percent owner of Somers Isles Shipping Ltd.
