Leslie Rans is the new chief executive officer of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd.

Ms Rans was formerly chief financial officer for One Communications, where she had oversight of multiple operating units in Bermuda and Cayman Islands.

Since October she has been acting as special adviser to the executive chairman of the BAS Group. She said: “The BAS Group has a strong history and I look forward to working with the team and the board to grow and progress the company.”

David Pugh, chairman of BAS, said: “I am pleased to welcome Leslie to the executive management team. I am confident that her strategic mindset and extensive management experience will prove invaluable as the company adapts to an ever-changing market place.”

Ms Rans holds a degree in business administration and is a certified public accountant. She has previously served as a commissioner on the Energy Commission, and as a director for Quo Vadis Ltd and Bermuda Digital Communications Ltd.
