Nine complete cleaning management programme
Nine people have completed a training programme presented by the internationally-recognised Cleaning Management Institute.
Completing the six-day programme, held in partnership with the Department of Workforce Development, were Hazel Morris, Lavita Williams, Juliette Spencer, Kumara Spencer, Sharon Smith, Syruss Williams, Murad Taalib-Din, Nathan Baron-Sorrentino, and Karen Henderson.
Courses completed included general cleaning, carpet care, hard floor care, restroom care, general safety, hazard communications, and customer service.
The nine individuals are now certified as ISSA Cleaning Management Institute master level custodial technicians.
The CMI, founded in 1964, has certified more than 250,000 individuals worldwide since its inception, according to the website of its owner ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association.
Eight of the nine participants in the course were on hand to receive certificates presented by Lovitta Foggo, the Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sport.
