Vendors sought for Carifta Games
Food vendors are being sought for the next year’s Carifta Games being held in Bermuda.
Craig Tyrrell, the National Sports Centre’s operations manager, said: “This is a great opportunity for vendors as I am sure Bermudians will come out in force to watch these games.
“We are looking for seven vendors for four days who will have stations at the NSC. I am really looking forward to seeing people’s ideas and pitches.”
The Island last hosted the Carifta Games in 2012. Before that it played host in 2004, 1980 and 1975. It was in 2004 that Usain Bolt set the under-17 world record in the 200 metres.
First held in 1972, the Games were founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association and are an annual event. Next year’s event runs from April 10 to April 13.
