Xtreme Sports opens Fun Zone
Xtreme Sports is opening its Fun Zone today.
The business has enjoyed success as a provider of wacky games for corporate events, parties, celebrations and others who hire out the games, which range from bubble football, zorb racing, and dodge ball, to football darts and inflatable poolball.
It also organises the annual Xtreme Sports Games, which sees corporate teams compete to win a prize for their chosen charity.
Now the same fun will be on offer at Xtreme Sports’ new home, in Commercial Park, Southside, St David’s.
The location allows for outdoor games together with some new indoor ones, including a “slime zone” and roller skating. The Xtreme Sports Fun Zone is a family entertainment centre with multiple games and attractions, a sports lounge and concessions.
Marquel Waldron, founder and managing director of Xtreme Sports Ltd, said: “We will have our games and attractions there. It will be indoors and outdoors. We will have our roller skating rink, a slime zone, and outdoor inflatables.”
When asked why he had decided to set up a permanent location for the business, Mr Waldron said: “It is a natural progression. It was something we always wanted to have — our own location. It is a pretty large location. There’s a large outdoor space and two floors of indoor space.
“The whole idea behind this is to give something to Bermuda that is new, and something that we can constantly do.”
The launch weekend starts with a Friday night “adult happy hour” from 5pm until midnight. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 9am to 1am, and on Monday, which is a holiday, the Fun Zone will be open 9am to 9pm. After that the Fun Zone will be open on weekends from Friday to Sunday.
Mr Waldron added: “We will still be doing the rentals, going around the island, as well as, in this location in the near future we will be taking birthday party bookings, and we are open for corporate bookings.”
