Chambers recognition and new pupil at ASW Law
Chelsea Rodrigues has joined the ASW Law pupillage programme.
She obtained a Bachelor of Laws from City, University of London in 2018, graduating with honours.
She then completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Law in Insurance (part-time) at the University of London.

The law firm said it is invested in recruiting qualified Bermudian candidates for its one-year pupillage programme. ASW’s pupillage programme allows pupils to receive mentorship with experienced senior lawyers, develop wide-ranging legal skills and to participate in interesting projects involving a variety of different areas of law. ASW pupils work in a stimulating environment which supports their professional development through to becoming fully qualified Bermuda barristers and attorneys.
Separately, ASW Law Ltd and its lawyers have featured in the 2020 edition of Chambers & Partners, the reference and ranking guide.
It was awarded the Band 2 rating in corporate and finance, and Chambers said AWS’ corporate team is “highly rated corporate group renowned for its proficiency in transactions related to insurance and reinsurance”.
The firm got a Band 2 rating in insurance in recognition of its “acclaimed Bermudian practice offering strength on both contentious and non-contentious insurance mandates”.
ASW also received a Band 3 rating in dispute resolutions.

Mr Horner, head of corporate, received Band 1 ratings in insurance, and in corporate and finance.

Jan Woloniecki, head of litigation, received a Band 1 rating in insurance, and Band 3 in dispute resolution.

Rod Attride-Stirling, litigation director, received a Band 3 rating in dispute resolution.
