OneComm adjourns planned AGM
One Communications Ltd has adjourned the Annual General Meeting of its shareholders which was due to be held today.
The company has been notified that the delivery of the notice convening the meeting, together with ancillary materials, was adversely affected by hurricane-related delays. This has resulted in shareholders not receiving adequate notice of the meeting in accordance with the company’s byelaws.
In a statement, the company said: “Accordingly, to ensure that shareholders’ constitutional rights to attend, in person or by proxy, and vote at the AGM, the chairman has decided it is in the best interest of the company to adjourn the meeting until such time as may be declared by the board of directors and properly notified to shareholders in accordance with applicable law.”
Among items expected to have been discussed at the AGM was a request of shareholders to consider a vote on the One Communications’ voluntary withdrawal from listing on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The company apologised to its shareholders for any inconvenience the adjournment of the AGM may have caused.
