Lighthouse Medical partners with SPCA

Lighthouse Medical Supplies Ltd has announced a new partnership with Bermuda SPCA that will raise funds for promotion of kindness to animals and prevention of animal cruelty.

Mike Serebrennik, chief operating officer at Lighthouse Medical Supplies, which is on Cemetery Road, Pembroke, said: “The main purpose of our work is to promote the wellbeing of people. Animals contribute to our wellbeing as well, and deserve kindness in return.”

Kate Terceira, executive director at Bermuda SPCA, said: “The SPCA is extremely excited to be part of this partnership with Lighthouse Medical.

“The SPCA is currently experiencing the toughest time in its 100 year history; we rely solely on donations and due to the current economic climate, these donations have drastically reduced. We are looking towards the local business community to support us and we are delighted that Lighthouse Medical have offered this partnership.”

The benefits of the new partnership are said to include greater resources available to find for ever homes for animals, more extensive help for injured and sick animals, and increased assistance to people who may have difficulty caring for their animals.
