One sets date to delist from BSX
One Communications Ltd’s shares will no longer be listed for trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange as of February 11.
Shareholders were asked to vote on the decision at the company’s annual general meeting in November, and more than 96 per cent of the votes cast were in favour of the company voluntarily withdrawing its listing from the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The company, and its predecessor forms, has been listed on the BSX for decades.
Gary Phillips, chairman of the board at One Communications, in a letter to shareholders in September, said the board had considered both the benefits and burdens of maintaining the company’s listing. He added: “While we remain appreciative of our long history on the BSX, it has become increasingly clear that the company’s and the shareholders’ best interests no longer require continued listing.”
On Friday, in a letter to shareholders, the company said all trades of its shares across the BSX up to and including February 10 will be settled in the normal manner.
Michael Tanglao, secretary at One Communications, informed shareholders: “After delisting, all transfers of shares will be facilitated by investor relations at the company. If you are interested in selling, transferring or otherwise dealing with your shares, please contact investor relations by e-mailing Shareholders@onecomm.bm or by calling 700-7037.
