BTA’s Tracy Berkeley appointed to board of Polaris

Polaris Holding Company Limited, parent company of dock operator Stevedoring Services, has appointed Tracy Berkeley to its board of directors.

Ms Berkeley is chief administration officer of the Bermuda Tourism Authority.

Cheryl Hayward-Chew, chairwoman of the Polaris board, said: “We are excited to welcome Tracy to the Polaris board, and look forward to her sharing her expertise in human capital management in diverse areas including local and international business, labour relations and hospitality.

“I am especially looking forward to seeing how the Board benefits from Tracy’s unique perspective, as a young Bermudian and a leader in her field. Together, we will strive for greater stability and growth of Polaris Holding Company Ltd.”

The Polaris board now consists of eight members, the others are Ms Hayward-Chew, Wayne Caines, Jeffrey Conyers, Howard Pitcher, Paul Hubbard, Tammy Richardson-Augustus and chief executive officer Warren Jones.

Prior to her present role with the BTA, Ms Berkeley served as director of human resources at Rosewood Bermuda, director of human resource operations at the Bermuda Hospitals Board and head of human resources at Aspen Bermuda Limited.
