Court Street invitation to vendors market

Vendors have been invited to express interest in participating in an open-air market on Court Street.

The market, to be held on Sunday July 25 from 1pm until 6pm, is a joint effort of the merchants on North Hamilton’s main shopping street.

Organisers said that vendors from across the island are welcome to take part in the market.

Recognising that Covid-19 restrictions have decreased business in the area, organisers say the market will drive traffic to the area and fuel the demand for other events in the area.

They added that Court Street is full of culture, friendly people, unique businesses, and restaurants.

Organisers said everyone is encouraged to come out to shop local, choose Bermuda, and support local business in the area.

As an incentive, customers who spend more than $25 will receive a raffle ticket to be entered into a draw to win prizes.

The grand prize is a 65-inch television.

Organisers said area merchants have donated additional prizes to further encourage shopping.

Participating vendors and merchants also have a chance to win a $250 cash prize.

Customers and a “secret shopper” will have a chance to rate their favourite vendor or merchant in various categories and the vendor or merchant with the top score will win.

Interested vendors who would like to sign up for the market can email COURTSTREETEVENTS@GMAIL.COM.

Registration for this first event is free to encourage as many vendors as possible to participate, organisers said.
