The RG/BSX Index closed at 2,555.88, up for the day by 8.01 (0.31 per cent) on a volume of 343.
The BSX Insurance Index continued to remain offline because of technical issues.
The Bank of Butterfield closed up 29 cents (0.85 per cent) on the New York Stock Exchange.
